The University of Balamand is a private, non-profit academic
institution founded in 1988. The University consists of nine
faculties offering undergraduate and graduate programs in an academic framework similar to that of universities in
North America.
The University occupies a 300-acre campus located on a hill by the
Mediterranean Sea, south of the city of Tripoli, 15 kilometers from
the Cedars of Lebanon, and 60 kilometers north of Beirut.
Founded by the Patriarch of Antioch and All The East, His Beatitude
Ignatius IV, the University takes pride in its Antiochian heritage
and scholarly academic environment where students from all faiths,
cultures and social classes
interact in pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and well-being. |
