Concerns:
- Security: Lebanon is a safe country with very low street crime rate. Moreover, the University of Balamand campus is nested in the peaceful hills of Northern Lebanon, away from the Capital, but still accessible to it.
- Travel: All Arab and European-based airlines provide service to Lebanon on a regular basis.
- Health: The medical care system in Lebanon is among the most sophisticated of the Middle East and is favorably compared to that in advanced countries. Health risks facing participants are similar to those in any European or developed country.
- Visa: Visas can be easily obtained from Lebanese Embassies or Consulates. Some nationalities are eligible for visas at Beirut airport.
- Money & Currency: The Lebanese currency is the Lira (LL). The current exchange rate is approximately US$ 1 to 1,500 LL. The US dollar is freely and commonly used. There are no currency restrictions, and major credit cards are widely accepted.
